Description:
The binary input module 23BE21 provides 16 electrically isolated inputs, accommodating up to 16 binary process signals. Input scanning and processing feature a high time resolution of 1 millisecond.
Input signals can be assigned to processing functions according to configuration rules.
The module permits a processing voltage of 24 to 60 V DC. All inputs feature LED signal indication. The module has a common return circuit for every 8 inputs.
The 23BE23 module can process the following signal types or their combinations:
– 16 timestamped single-point information (SPI) signals
– 8 timestamped double-point information (DPI) signals
– 2 8-bit digital measured values (DMI8)
– 1 16-bit digital measured value (DMI16)
– 16 integrated totals (maximum 120 Hz) (ITI)
– 2 8-bit step position information (STI) signals
– 2 8-bit bit string inputs (BSI8)
– 1 16-bit bit string input (BSI16)
– Or combinations of these signal types
The microcontroller on the module handles all time-critical tasks for parameterized processing functions. Additionally, it communicates interactively with the RTU I/O bus.
All configuration data and processing parameters are loaded by the communication unit via the RTU I/O bus.
