Description:
For applications exceeding standard temperature limits, the ETR probe (218°C/425°F) and ETR extension cable (260°C/500°F) provide reliable performance in extreme conditions. These components maintain compatibility with standard 3300 XL systems, allowing flexible configurations like pairing an ETR probe with a standard 330130 cable. Note that system accuracy will align with ETR specifications when any high-temperature component is incorporated.
The 3300-series 5mm probe offers a smaller footprint while maintaining the same side clearance requirements as 8mm probes. This solution is ideal when physical space limitations prevent the use of standard probes. For applications requiring even narrower side profiles, the 3300 NSv Proximity Transducer System provides specialized performance.
8mm probes feature thicker PPS plastic encapsulation around the coil, delivering superior ruggedness for harsh operating environments. The larger probe body diameter creates a more robust casing, making these probes the preferred choice for applications where physical durability is critical. We strongly recommend 8mm probes whenever installation conditions permit.
All 3300 XL extension cables include silicone tape as an alternative to connector protectors, though this should not be used in turbine oil-exposed applications. When planning your system, consider environmental factors and temperature requirements to select the optimal probe and cable combination for reliable, long-term operation.
