Description:

 

The high voltage gate interface board IS200FHVBG1A is part of the LS2100 series manufactured by General Electric Industrial Systems.

 

The EX2100 Excitation Control (EX2100 or exciter) generates the field excitation current, which is used to control the generator's ac terminal voltage and/or reactive volt-amperes. It is a complete static excitation system for generators on new and retrofit steam gas and hydro turbines.

 

This model is mainly used for battery voltage monitoring and SCR gate interfacing.There are current sensors on the circuit board that detect whether the silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) is blocking or conducting voltage.

 

If the SCR blocking voltage is detected, the battery status data will be sent to the FGPA board, and then the FGPA board will turn on the red C STAT LED. When this board is installed, it is almost always installed inside the source bridge cabinet.
