Description:

The Exciter Selection Board IS200ESELH2A is a Group 2 ESEL model that operates with three bridge drivers. This board is used with the EMIO and EGPA boards to help fire up to six SCRs.

With this IS200ESELH2A it is the second group of the ESEL boards, as the second group to operate properly it contains three bridge drivers.

When being used in connection with the EGPA boards and if there are redundant controllers within the power conversion cabinet then two ESEL boards will need to be used, one will be powered by the M1 and the other by M2, the most active ESEL which is selected by controller C will send all of the necessary signals to the attached EGPA boards.

On the board, there are no jumpers or testpoints. P1 and P2 connect to the VME backplane and are not defined in this document because individual pin signals are not typically checked during troubleshooting. The following diagram depicts the layout of the ESEL board. Three green LEDs at the top of the front panel display the following status information:

• There is power on the table.
• The board is in session (enabled by the signal from control C).
• The board is gating (driven by gate inputs from EMIO).
