The GE IS200 is a family of printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in GE Mark VI turbine control systems. The IS200 family includes a variety of boards, each with a specific function. This board is a digital signal processor (DSP) that provides the Mark VI system with its processing power. This board is a turbine control unit (TCU) that interfaces with the turbine and controls its operation. And it is a high-speed serial link interface board that provides communication between the Mark VI system and other devices. One sensor can be fanned to three I/O boards as above for medium-integrity applications. This is used for sensors with medium-to-high reliability. Three such circuits are needed for three sensors. Typical inputs are 0-20 mA inputs, contacts, thermocouples, and RTDs.
Three independent sensors can be brought into the controllers without voting to provide the individual sensor values to the application. Median values can be selected in the controller if required. This configuration, displayed in the following figure, is used for special applications only. The IS200DSPXH1D is a device which is known as a DSP control board. The IS200DSPXH1D is a component in the Mark VI series by General Electric or GE. The Mark VI is just one of several series in GE’ s Mark line. The IS220PDIOH1A is an I/O pack module for a Mark VIe Speedtronic system. The Mark VIe is one of the later systems released by General Electric under the Speedtronic name. Speedtronic systems have been used for industrial turbine control since the late 1960s when General Electric released the Mark I. The IS220PDIOH1A has two Ethernet ports and its own local processor. It can be used in conjunction with terminal boards IS200TDBSH2A and IS200TDBTH2A. These I/O pack/terminal board combinations have been approved for use in hazardous locations.
