IS220PDOAH1B is a Discrete Output Pack developed by General Electrics. It is a part of Mark VIe control system. PDOA serves as the crucial link in the electrical connection between one or two Input/Output (I/O) Ethernet networks and a dedicated discrete output terminal board. This essential component consists of two key elements- a processor board that is common to all Mark VIe distributed I/O packs, and an acquisition board that is tailored to the specific requirements of discrete output functionalities. It is designed to enable the control of up to 12 relays while also facilitating feedback integration from the terminal board.
In terms of relay options, users have the flexibility to choose between electromagnetic relays, which are compatible with various terminal boards (TRLYH1B, C, D, and F), and solid-state relays, which can be utilized with type TRLYH1E boards. This diversity in relay options allows for customization to meet the specific needs of the application. Input connectivity is established through dual RJ45 Ethernet connectors, providing a reliable and redundant interface for seamless data exchange. Furthermore, power is supplied through a three-pin input, ensuring stable and efficient operation. On the output side, the PDOA is equipped with a DC-37 pin connector that seamlessly connects with the corresponding terminal board connector. This connection mechanism simplifies installation and maintenance processes.
The IS220PDOAH1B is an I/O pack module designed to digitize sensor signals, provide high-speed networked I/O capabilities, and offer discrete outputs for controlling various functions in gas turbines within GE Speedtronic Mark VIe control systems. This module plays a crucial role in ensuring the turbine’s efficient and reliable operation by interfacing with sensors, controllers, and other components to facilitate seamless communication and control. The power-up self-test ensures critical system components’ proper functioning and integrity, including RAM, flash memory, Ethernet ports, and processor board hardware.
The IS220PDOAH1B is a Mark VIe I/O pack. One or more I/O pack modules digitize the sensor signal and feed it to the controller. Every I/O pack has Dual 100MB full-duplex Ethernet Ports. This is mostly used with the GE Speedtronic Mark VIe series. In addition, the Mark VIe is a flexible platform for multiple applications. It also provides high-speed networked I/O for simplex, dual, and triple-redundant systems. IS220PDOAH1B is a multiple PCB module with multilayer PCB populated with SMD components. Prior to ControlST V04.04 upgrade to ControlST V04.07.08C or CONTROL ST V05.0204C, or the highest available version at the next scheduled outage, then install BPPC I/O Upgrade V05.01.03 across the system.
