ABB DI840 3BSE020836R1 $800 1/0 Module. $800 l0 is a comprehensive, distributed and modular process l/0 system that communicates with parent controllers over industry-standard fieldbus technology and therefore can be used with a wide range of process controllers from ABB and other vendors. The DI840 is a 16 channel 24 V d.c. digital input module for single or redundant applications.
The input voltage range is 18 to 30 V d.c. and the input current is 7 mA at 24 V d.c. Each input channel consists of current limiting components, EMC protection components, input state indication LED and optical isolation barrier. The transducer power is supervised and current limited; one output per two input channels. The Sequence of Event function (SOE) can collect events with a resolution of 1 ms. The event queue can contain up to 257 events. The function includes a Shutter filter for filtering out unwanted events.
ABB's DI840 (3BSE020836R1) is a digital input module for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in industrial automation. It acts as a bridge between real-world electrical signals (on/off or voltage levels) and the digital world of PLCs. ABB excitation system is an advanced power system equipment, mainly used to improve the performance of generators and enhance the stability of power systems. It is mainly composed of excitation transformer, two sets of independent excitation regulators, thyristor rectifier unit, excitation unit and de-excitation unit. The system adopts static excitation technology, and controls the excitation current through thyristor rectifier bridge to adjust the terminal voltage and reactive power of synchronous generator.
The radiated electromagnetic field (EMI) in space is mainly generated by the transient process of power grid, electrical equipment, lightning, radio broadcasting, television, radar, high-frequency induction heating equipment, etc., usually called radiated interference, and its distribution is extremely complex. If the PLC system is placed in the radio frequency field, radiated interference will be recovered, and its influence mainly passes through two paths; one is the direct radiation inside the PLC, which causes interference by circuit induction.
The other is the radiation to the network inside the PLC communication, which introduces interference by the induction of the communication line. Radiated interference is related to the layout of the on-site equipment and the size of the electromagnetic field generated by the equipment, especially the frequency. It is generally protected by setting shielded cables and PLC local shielding and high-voltage discharge components.
