In addition, solutions with high or low pH values may erode the tip assembly of the probe causing media leakage into surrounding areas. Bently Nevada, LLC will not be held responsible for any damages resulting from leaking 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probes. In addition, 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probes will not be replaced under the service plan due to probe leakage.

The 8 mm probes feature a thicker PPS plastic encapsulation around the coil, delivering superior ruggedness for harsh industrial environments. Their larger diameter housing ensures maximum resistance to physical damage, making them the preferred choice for applications where durability is critical. Whenever possible, opt for 8 mm probes to benefit from enhanced mechanical strength and long-term reliability.

3300 XL 8 mm probes and cables are fully interchangeable with standard 3300 5 mm and 8 mm systems, ensuring easy upgrades and replacements. To maintain performance, always adhere to the minimum bend radius guidelines for cables during installation. This flexibility allows for hassle-free integration into existing monitoring setups.

To reduce cross-talk between adjacent probes, maintain proper spacing—at least 40 mm (1.6 in) for axial measurements and 38 mm (1.5 in) for radial vibration readings. On shafts larger than 50 mm (2 in), interference remains below 50 mV when probes are centered in their linear range. Note that radial measurements on shafts under 76.2 mm (3 in) may require scale factor adjustments for accuracy.
