The ICS Triplex T8311 is a high-performance Trusted Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Expander Interface Module, engineered for mission-critical industrial control and safety systems. As a core component of the ICS Triplex Trusted architecture, it delivers exceptional reliability and fault tolerance for applications where uninterrupted operation is non-negotiable.

At its heart lies Trusted TMR technology, which employs three parallel channels to enable automatic fault tolerance against single-point failures. This ensures continuous system operation even if one channel malfunctions, a critical feature for industries like oil and gas, power generation, chemical processing, and refining. The module supports high-speed data transmission up to 250 Mbps via its expander bus, facilitating seamless communication between the main processor and expansion chassis.

Designed for robustness, the T8311 operates on a 24V DC nominal power supply (20–32V DC range) with low power consumption of approximately 10W, optimizing energy efficiency. It offers up to 40 channels for versatile I/O configurations, supporting connection to servo motors, drivers, sensors, and other field devices. Hot-swap capability allows module replacement during operation, minimizing downtime for maintenance or upgrades.

Built to withstand harsh environments, the T8311 functions reliably across -5°C to 60°C, withstanding high humidity and vibration. It complies with SIL 3 safety standards and supports protocols like Modbus RTU, TCP, OPC, and DDE, enabling seamless integration with DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
